COCONUT OIL IS IDEAL FOR THE SKIN.

The components of virgin coconut oil are able to penetrate the skin and improve its condition. They soften it, protect it and keep it hydrated. They also act on the teeth, mucous membranes and nails.

1. BEFORE SUNBATHING

Apply a small amount of coconut oil before exposing yourself to the sun. It is ideal if you are not going to be out for long periods of time or during the central hours of the day. Coconut oil, without any other additives, has a natural protection factor of 8.

2. AFTER THE BEACH

On the beach it is necessary to put on a certified natural protective cream with mineral filters. After the shower you can put on the coconut oil to avoid dehydration of the skin and protect it thanks to its antioxidant compounds.

3. AS AN INSECT REPELLENT

Mix a little coconut oil with tea tree or citronella essential oil and apply it to the areas that mosquitoes like best.

4. IF YOU HAVE ALREADY BEEN BITTEN BY A MOSQUITO

Mosquito bites are almost inevitable. Putting a thin layer of coconut oil on top reduces the discomfort of the itch and protects the area from bacterial contamination. It is also useful for scratches and scrapes.

5. BEFORE DRY OR DAMAGED HAIR

Salt water from the sea and chlorine from the pool will leave your hair soggy. Put some coconut oil on your hands and run it through your hair before jumping into the pool or diving into the sea.

6. PERFECT LIPS

The skin of the lips is very thin and sensitive to solar radiation. Running a finger over them moistened with coconut oil can mean the difference between dry and juicy lips. And if you add sugar, you get a natural lip exfoliant. This eliminates unpleasant flaking. And it makes your lips soft and moisturised.

7. A LUMINOUS COMPLEXION

Take advantage of the moisturizing and antimicrobial properties to cleanse the face. You can moisten a cotton pad with the oil and cleanse your skin thoroughly. It serves to remove makeup.

8. AS A DEODORANT

You can apply it as it is to the armpits or make a homemade deodorant stick. Mix 100 ml of each of the following ingredients: baking soda, coconut oil and cornstarch. Mix the baking soda and cornstarch first with a fork. Then slowly add the coconut oil until a paste is formed.

9. TO EXFOLIATE THE SKIN

Mix a little coconut oil with sugar ,or Del Mar salt, or ground coffee to create a body scrub with moisturizing properties. In summer it is more necessary than ever to remove dead cells and all kinds of impurities that accumulate on the skin. It will also have an anti-cellulite effect.

10. WRINKLE-FREE EYE CONTOUR

Specific products for the eye environment are not cheap and are often loaded with chemicals. Apply coconut oil every night before going to bed and in the morning, when you look in the mirror, you'll see the surprise.

11. WHITER TEETH

Pour a drop of coconut oil on top of the toothpaste and brush as usual. The gums will suffer less from brushing and the surface of the teeth will appear cleaner.

12. HEALTHY NAILS

Some experienced doctors look at the nails to guess the general health of the patient. To make your nails perfect and protected, rub a small amount on each cuticle. It will protect you from annoying infections.

13. OIL FOR A RELAXING MASSAGE

Convince your partner and a friend to give you a mutual massage. Add a few drops of your favourite essential oil (lavender or calendula are very pleasant and relaxing, for example) to the coconut oil and spread it generously over your partner's shoulders and back. Knead the trapezes well to undo any contractures.

Ginger is known for its beneficial properties for the skin: it tones it up, improves its elasticity and increases blood circulation. All these things can help get rid of lingering fat thanks to these ginger wraps.

  • Mix 1 tablespoon of freshly grated ginger with 4-5 tablespoons of coconut oil.
  • Soak a towel in hot water and place it in areas where you want to lose fat.
  • Leave it there for 5 minutes to open the pores.
  • Apply the body oil with ginger to the area.
  • Wrap with vinipel paper or other plastic.
  • Leave it on all night.

Coconut oil is excellent for softening the skin due to its moisturizing properties. If you want to nourish your skin, try this body wrap.

  • Take some warm coconut oil, add an equal amount of honey and 2-3 drops of your favourite essential oil.
  • Apply this mixture to the skin.
  • Wrap the area where the oil is spread with a plastic wrap.
  • Leave it on for at least an hour or overnight if you don't mind.

Apple vinegar has many vitamins and minerals, among other things. This mixture is ideal for increasing blood circulation and works very well when it comes to fighting cellulite and localized fat.

  • Dilute 6% of apple vinegar with water in equal proportions.
  • With 1 tablespoon coconut oil.
  • Apply it to the skin.
  • Wrap the area with plastic wrap.
  • Leave it on for at least one hour.

Dead Sea salt tones, firms and tightens the problem area. This recipe is ideal for detoxifying and toning and helps combat cellulite. Of course, you can't expect miracles, as cellulite is a very difficult thing to get rid of, but if you use it in conjunction with a balanced diet and regular exercise you'll accelerate the results.

  • Dissolve 2-3 tablespoons of Dead Sea salt in 1 litre of warm water and with 2 tablespoons coconut oil.
  • Soak a towel or old sheet and place it on your skin.
  • Wrap the area with plastic wrap.
  • Leave it on for an hour.

Honey provides a lot of nourishment to the skin and aloe vera is ideal for hydration, so the mixture of the 3 together will do a wonderful job of moisturizing your skin and providing it with all kinds of nourishing components.

The problem of the dry heel

  • Cut a large piece of aloe vera, and remove the gel.
  • Mix an equal amount of aloe vera gel, coconut oil and honey together.
  • Add natural yoghurt (not Greek style) to give it a smooth texture.
  • Apply it to your skin.
  • Wrap the area with plastic wrap.
  • Leave it on for half an hour.

All these ingredients work wonders for the skin, especially when used in treatments such as body wrap. Cocoa is full of antioxidants and is also good for moisturising the skin. Bananas have vitamins A and E, and honey has excellent moisturizing and relaxing properties.

  • It macerates half of a banana tree.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of warm honey and mix.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of cocoa, but make sure it is not sweetened.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil.
  • Mix it all together until it becomes a smooth paste and add milk until it has enough consistency.

This recipe is quite effective for detoxification and, as a result, makes you look thinner. Of course, it would be unfair to promise you a miracle as clay wrappers can't burn fat. Remember that it only removes excess water and has a short-term effect, but it's good to have it on hand for special occasions.

  • Soak a towel in hot water and place it in those areas where you want to lose fat.
  • Leave it for 5 minutes to open the pores. Mix an equal amount of clay and coconut oil.
  • Apply the body cream to the designated area.
  • Leave it on for at least an hour or overnight for best results.
