Coconut oil has many benefits for facial skin.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Some of them are:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Deep hydration. This oil has a great power of hydration thanks to the nourishing components it contains in its formula. Thus, fatty acids are found, which serve to regulate the neutral pH of the skin. This makes it possible to eliminate excess fat and sebum, improve acne and boost hydration.
Antibiotic and anti-inflammatory effect. The high content of lauric acid makes it a powerful antibiotic. It also has antiviral and anti-fungal effects. All this will greatly avoid infections on the face and, by eliminating some bacteria, reduce acne.<\/p>\n

It prevents wrinkles and ageing. Another beneficial component is the high content of vitamin E. This vitamin is a powerful antioxidant, as it protects skin cells against free radicals. These free radicals accelerate ageing and the appearance of wrinkles. Vitamin E is thus able to slow down these processes.<\/p>\n

Deep cleansing of the face. Virgin coconut oil is used as a make-up remover. It therefore has important properties for cleaning cosmetic residues or pollutants from the face.
Protection against UV rays. Ultraviolet rays are divided into UVA, UVB and UVC. This oil is able to paralyse UVA rays, this being another very interesting property.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Coconut oil for the face: this is how you can apply it<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Coconut oil can be used virgin, but it is often difficult to find and sometimes it is more beneficial to mix it with other components to improve the results. Thus, it can be used in different formats, among which the following stand out:<\/p>\n

In homemade coconut oil and bicarbonate masks. The many properties of coconut oil have already been detailed, but baking soda is also a good option for facial skin. Thus, bicarbonate serves to soothe the skin after burns and is a good exfoliant. The combination of both substances makes a face mask much more effective and beneficial for the face.
As a lip balm. As for the face, coconut oil is a powerful moisturiser for the lips. If you want to make one at home, just mix 3 tablespoons of coconut oil, 2 tablespoons of virgin olive oil, 1 tablespoon of honey and a few drops of essential oil. When you mix everything correctly, apply it to your lips and you'll achieve hydration and exfoliation. The surplus can also be kept in the fridge.
In cream. This can be used for the face, the eye contour or even the neck and d\u00e9collet\u00e9. The easiest way to create a cream with coconut oil is to start with your usual cream (which may or may not have anti-aging properties). Adding a few drops of coconut oil to your cream will increase the benefits and enhance the results on your skin.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

1 - Facial Cleanser<\/strong><\/h5>\n

There is a basic principle in the solubility of coconut oil that will be responsible for the effects produced on your skin by it: The nature of solvent and solute particles and the interactions between them, to be more specific, the rule of \"like dissolves\" or a polar substance tends to dissolve in a polar solvent and a non-polar substance tends to dissolve in a non-polar solvent. In a nutshell: Coconut oil proves to be an excellent make-up remover and also a facial disinfectant (we will talk about this in the next point).

Coconut oil dissolves even waterproof make-up with the advantage that it does not damage or dry out the skin. It is also a plus for people with sensitive skin who usually suffer from burning when using commercial cosmetic make-up removers. On the other hand, if you are using a treatment that uses a chemical base such as chemical peels and Vitanol A creams or any other cosmetic whose active principle is retinoic acid, resorting to the use of coconut oil as a make-up remover is a safe and cheap alternative since alcohol is a common ingredient in most cosmetic products.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

2 - Facial disinfectant<\/strong><\/h5>\n

I know that using oil as \"soap\" may sound a little strange, but trust me: this \"oil cleaning method\" works very well even for oily skin. By the way, the cleaning power of this method is so intense that its frequent use is not recommended for people with dry skin on their face.

There are several ways, mixtures and recipes of the coconut oil cleaning method, which basically consists of:

Step 1<\/strong>\u00a0- Apply a generous amount of coconut oil on the face, let it dry, additionally massage gently for about 3-5 minutes. Pay special attention to the \"problem\" areas of the face such as the nose and chin.
Step 2<\/strong>\u00a0- Optional: let the oil rest on the skin for 10-20 minutes.
Step 3<\/strong>\u00a0- Soak a cloth in warm water (essentially at a warm temperature) and carefully remove the oil from your face.
Step 4<\/strong> - Believe me, the cleansing is so extreme that your skin will probably feel contractions, then apply a facial moisturizer and\/or take advantage of the same oil and apply a small amount to restore the skin's elasticity.<\/p>\n

How often can you use this method?<\/h5>\n

It depends. It is a heavy cleansing method, and even oily skin will benefit from excessively heavy cleansing. Some people do it every other day, some people once a week, some people from 15 to 15 days, so it depends on each person and their skin type.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Facial and body scrub<\/h3>\n

The fatty acids that make up coconut oil already act as cell renewers, but the power of exfoliation can be enhanced with simple recipes.
If you live in a warm region, where coconut oil liquefies at room temperature, leavet the oil in the fridge until it solidifies. The creamy texture obtained will help in the exfoliation process.<\/p>\n

TIPS FOR USE<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Mix the coconut oil with sugar or oats or corn flour or coffee beans (oats and sugar will be better if made for the face) and rub it on your skin.
I like to apply this exfoliant on dry skin, if you prefer a softer exfoliation, apply it on your wet skin. Then simply wipe off the excess in the shower or with a damp towel. Leave a little oil on your body as it will act as a moisturizer.<\/p>\n

The coconut oil, besides maintaining hydration, will also act in improving the elasticity of the skin in both the body and the face.<\/p>\n

From experience, I've been using it as a body moisturizer for months and I have the feeling that I've finally found the remedy for the absurd dehydration of my skin. I always had very dry skin, I've been to several dermatologists, I've used several prescriptions and all kinds of moisturizing, but nothing seemed to hold the moisture in the skin for long. Today I tell you that I never had such soft and moisturized skin. However, it didn't happen overnight, the effect of coconut oil is cumulative, so be patient.<\/p>\n

The best way to apply it, in its pure form, as a moisturizer right after leaving the bath, since the oil will act on maintaining the cellular humidity acquired with the water in the bath itself. I like to apply it every day before sleeping, it can also be applied throughout the day if the weather is cold or warm. On hot days if you apply pure coconut oil it can be a little uncomfortable.<\/p>\n

In the application of the face is given in the same way, after washing. I don't use pure coconut oil as a facial moisturizer always because for pure use on the face I preferred oils like argan, sunflower and jojoba.
Tip: coconut oil also serves to improve the effect of other moisturizers, simply mix the moisturizer in question.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Aftersun, soothing.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Due to its soothing and relaxing properties, coconut oil makes an excellent after-sun lotion. As well as preventing flaky, dry skin, therefore, using coconut oil in your tan can help treat and reduce the burning of sunburn (of course, depending on the degree of burning).<\/p>\n

Tip:<\/strong> Are you overburned? Mix a few drops of lavender essential oil with coconut oil. Lavender essential oil offers great healing and has been used for years as an alternative medicine in the treatment of burns.<\/p>\n

Face mask<\/strong><\/h4>\n

What are you looking for in a face mask? Bacterial action against acne? Anti-ageing action? Action to increase skin elasticity? Well, coconut oil works this way!<\/p>\n

On the other hand, if you have a tendency for your pores to become clogged, using coconut oil as a treatment mask will be much more efficient than as a moisturizer. In fact, the oil will stay on your skin just long enough to promote the benefits without clogging up your pores.<\/p>\n

TIPS FOR USE<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Simply apply the oil to clean, dry skin. Massage well and pause for 20-30 minutes. Then just rinse with cold water to remove the excess. If you prefer to remove the oil completely, rinse with warm water.<\/p>\n

As promised at the beginning of this giant text, here are some tips for those who realize the comedogenic action when using coconut oil (which may or may not occur, this varies from person to person).

Using coconut oil as a facial moisturiser has many benefits, but can be risky for some. Fortunately, if your skin is porous or prone to clogging, there are options to get the benefits with this product. Here are some alternatives:<\/p>\n

Mix this oil with a less comedogenic oil (such as sunflower oil), and it will form a moisturizing oil with less \"risk\".
Exfoliate first - this is essential! Getting rid of any build up of grease and dirt in the pores means a drastic reduction in potential clogging.
Do not use coconut oil as a moisturizer. This is another alternative and is to use coconut oil as a disinfectant through the cleaning method (explained above), or as a face mask.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
